The reason a wolf can attack so easily is that a sheep is generally trusting. Sheep are not stalkers, hunters, or killers. They do not "lookout" for themselves.
This is why Sheep need a Shepherd.
Unfortunately, sheep sometimes accept a wolf to be their leader...meaning...the wolf who is disguised as a sheep...because, after all, if you were deceived, would you know it?
